Lulu as Winry Rockbell

Took this shot of my friend Lulu at OhayoCon 2012! This is her first cosplay (third con she wore it to). If you don't know, it's Winry Rockbell of Full Metal Alchemist. It's a found-item/altered cosplay, and though you can't see it well in this particular photo, she dyed this white jumpsuit to a very pale lavender. Neither she nor I had done fabric dyeing before, and it came out perfect on her first try! I think she makes a fantastic Winry, and I'll admit that this is 100x better than my first cosplay! Love you, Lulu! <3

Anyways, a little background on the photo. This photo is NOT edited- it is the raw from the camera, aside from cropping some area up towards the top of the photo which was just more black, but there was a tiny "blemish" of light which you cannot see now. What happened here was we found an empty area of the convention in which there was sunlight shining between two outside office buildings, leaving only this tiny sliver of light in all of the room. It was a nice and bright sunset, but since the rest of the room was yet unlit, the camera underexposed everything not in light in order to compensate for the brightness. Voila! Gorgeous shot from a dinky little point-and-shoot.

This is one of the most beautiful shots that I've ever taken, but I can't say I put much effort into it. I just got lucky was all.
