For those that don't speak/read Spanish, it's pronounced "hee-tah-nah", and means what else, but gypsy? ;D
I made this last October for a Halloween costume, and I totally loved wearing it! It is one of my favorite costumes, because I've dreamed of cosplaying Esmeralda before I even knew what cosplay was! I had some Esmeralda pajamas as a kid, and was so sad when I outgrew them, because honestly, they were more accurate to the movie than any Halloween costume being sold at the time.
For the corset part, I went with dark green instead of spruce green. The dark green was inspired from a promotional art image that I saw of her, as well as the colors of mardi gras. Also, the scarf is tied on the wrong side, sorry. I thought really hard that morning about which side it is tied on and still got it backwards! Thought too hard about it I guess. >w<
